Original Convent.

Situated in the Centro Storico of Amantea this original property was built in 1603 and used as a Convent for nearly 200 years until the French invaded the town and confiscated church property and subsequently sold it to the Marquis de Luca Lizzano who made it his noble residence. The residence eventually, fell into disrepair and in 1988 was magnificently restored by its current owners into a hotel and restaurant retaining many original features.
From its elevated position it is possible to overlook the whole of the town and enjoy the spectacular sea views, which on a clear day stretch as far as Mount Etna on Sicily and Stromboli and the Aeolian islands.
The hotel/restaurant offers a relaxed yet professional atmosphere and the cuisine has been carefully created to reflect the elegance of the surroundings and to tempt the most discerning palate with a cacophony of aroma and flavours.
