1) Not only did a chance meeting with the Menonte family at Lamezia Terme airport lead to a lasting friendship but also the purchase of our dream Italian home.

In 2009 Yvonne mentioned that she had spread her wings and begun orgainsing weddings in Calabria, when we returned from Calabria we visited her website.
Although we had been together for many years, the friendship and warmth of the people in Torremezzo, where we have our house, encouraged us to make the decision to marry. We emailed Yvonne in January 2010 and asked for more information about how we could marry in the village. She guided us through the whole process and when we needed reassurance and support she was there for us.

As a result we were married on 3rd September 2010 at the Comune of Torremezzo di Falconara and every single detail was attended to so that the day ran smoothly. Yvonne and Vince organised accommodation for family, arranged the flowers, cake and photographs. Yvonne did my hair and make-up on the day, having a trial run a few days before to ensure it was just what I wanted. The reception was at a restored “locale” in the centro storico of Belmonte Calabro and the food, prepared by local restauranter Francesco, from “A Taverna intru u vico” was cooked and presented to perfection.

The local area lends itself to some fantastic photo opportunities and is the perfect setting for a romantic wedding and thanks go to Franco for our beautiful wedding photographs.
